What to wear for in betweens seasons?
I love winter but summer is the season I look forward to the most. I find the transitioning period between winter to summer sometimes challenging, especially when it comes to daily outfits. I am sure we all are more than ready for some sun! At this point Im chasing any bit of sun to get that last drop of Vit D.
A few weekends ago I collaborated with Lenara Choudhury A photographer with the ability to get up close and capture the personality of a model with little or even no make up. Lenara can create a space or a location that compliments the model and use a fine eye to put the right images together creating fantastic story.
We collaborated; using simple lines in contrast with patterns and layers from my collection, Madseventies, to show case a few looks that can be worn for in-between weather we having.
First and favourite look. A chocolate suit with pinstripe flared trousers. A white shirt to recreate 70’s Nick Cave look. With the masculine feel I added some gold and pearl to create a balance. Ive never been a belt-in-the-waist-kinda-girl but I quite like the silhouette it creates.
In my second look I played around with two colours. Black and red. Two very strong colours to create a statement look. Wearing a vintage night slip, paired with an oversized vintage polka-dot top has given me the comfort I’m looking for in an outfit. I added Monki glitter socks and a sandal for a fun detail. Why would this outfit work in the season we are in? Because you have layers. Add on if cold and take off when warm. A fun look to wear to with festival season approaching. I wouldnt recommend wearing sandals and sock, but rather a fun cowboy boot.
In my last look I went all Gucci! Pattern on pattern on pattern on pattern! A sheer floral dress paired up with polka-dot stockings, turban head piece and my Gucci glasses. Why dress down when you have so much colour and patterns to play with.
Thank you Lenara for capturing me in these bold outfits. Check out her website for more of her stunning imagery.
Looking forward seeing more summer outfits, cowboy hats and fabulous oversized sunglasses.
Much love, thank you for reading.
